For the first time in quite a few years, Ledy Pa Records is making an existing album available to the world. Stü Art's 7th album, The Perfect Response, was distributed in January 2023 and should be available on many different platforms and services. I always felt that we improved as time went by, developing our sound and improving on our musicality (if that's possible). So, though I probably like the last two albums best (Finally... and Chôpek Rink), The Perfect Response is easily my next favorite. It contains one of my absolute favorite Stü Art songs in "Yellow Mountains". Additionally, I had three lead vocals that worked out okay. In order to meet the distribution requirements of CDBaby, I had to rework the cover art to make it look less like the 25 year old computer drawing it was. (In fact, the original artwork was created for a homemade cassette release.) Also, on the original release (and the CDs I made later), we put a quiet recording done by Jim after the last song on the album as a fadeout. For this release, I split it up and made a separate track, called "(Fadeout)". Anyway, I distributed The Perfect Response because I wanted to, not because anyone was clamoring for it. I get a kick out of looking at the reports provided by CDBaby and seeing that some people actually listen to our music in this big world. If you come across it and enjoyed it, let me know!
