The Thing...
The interview on this recording was the first part of a three part assignment given to Michael Nickras in the fall of 1990. As a member of Dennis Dyke's 8th grade advanced American History class, Michael was to record a question and answer discussion with three different people. The second and third interviews were to be with individuals in the community in Troy, Ohio. These were to focus on local history and would be part of a planned exhibit at the Hayner Cultural Center in Troy. The first interview was intended to give the students practice. The instructions were simple: talk to a friend or family member about World War II. The release of this album coincided with Wilma's 90th birthday.

Liner Notes...
The decision was made to not edit the original recording. Each stop, click, and clock chime remains.
The interview took place in the evening (after school) at Wilma's home in Pitchin, Ohio.
The date 11/28/1990 was written on the tape. This may be related to when the assignment was turned in.
